oracle 9i installation on IBM-AIX (merged 4) [message #406878]

Hi Dears,

i am trying to install oracle 10.1.0.2.0 on IBM AIX server version 4.3 but i get the below error while
running the rootpre.sh script

required file ./pw-syscall32 is missing aborting .installation of oracle may fail

0509--036 symbol resolution failed for runInstaller
becuase of error

0509-030 can't load program /cdrom/install/runInstaller
0509-136 symbol -fill (number 0) is not exported from
dependent module /usr/lib/libc.a (shr.0)
0509-192 Examine loader section symbol with 'dum -tv'
command

i think 4.3 doesn't compatible with oracle 10g .but anybody has idea that oracle 9.0.1 is compatible with IBM AIX 4.3 or not.quick resposne will be higly appreciated.thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Dears,

i am trying to install oracle 9.0.1 on iBM-AIX 4.3.but when i run runInstaller script i got the follwonig below error

error in writting to directory /tmp/Oinstall. please ensure that this directory is writable and has alleast 25MB of disk space.Installation can't continue

then i check the size of /tmp directory like #df -k /tmp
it showing 2GB, and i have given the permision to /tmp directory #chmod 777 /tmp
then i run the runInstaller again i got the same error.please any one has idea bout that.quick respose will be higly appreciated.thanks a lot in advance.
