Dear All,

I have installed oracle database enterprise 11g - 11.0.7.0 in /oracle/db/tech_st/11.1.0 (no db was created at this time). Lster, due to some disks reasons, I moved the binaries to /a01/oracle/db/tech_st/11.1.0 file system.

I made modifications to the oratab file, etc and was able to create a db using dbca and netca. During creation of DB using dbca, finally i got a message which says

EM comfiguration failed due to the following error:failed to unlock all em related accounts.
refer to log at /a01/oracle/db/tech_st/11.1.0/cfgtoollogs/dbca/cms2/emconfig.log.
you can try to reconfigure em by running /a01/oracle/db/tech_st/11.1.0/bin/emca script.


please fing attached the emconfig.log

Below is from attached log file.
Refer to the log file at /a01/oracle/db/tech_st/11.1.0/cfgtoollogs/dbca/cms2/emConfig.log for more details.

I am unclear from where you obtained posted information & your posts states "emconfig.log" [lower case config] while I see "emConfig.log" [UPPER CASE Config]

The likely fix is to
ALTER USER <schema_name> ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

I recomment; Create database first; Later on manually you can cretae/re-create your oracle oem.
