What is the way of connecting to a remote machine in order to start a sql session?

Don't understand ???

U can connect to a remote machine using a client like telnet or rlogin ... but if U just want to start a sql session use SQL*PLUS using SQL*NET...

Need to set tnsnames.ora ( or names ) to reach destination ( assume that remote machine is running Oracle's listener )
