Hi All,

Does anybody know how one can "unset" a previuosly defined encryption key?

The key was originally created with the following command:
ALTER SYSTEM SET ENCRYPTION KEY IDENTIFIED BY "password"

The wallet file was properly created under %ORACLE_BASE%/admin/%ORACLE_SID%/wallet directory.

I can now easily remove the wallet file, but have no idea how to get rid of the entry in the v$encryption_wallet view.

The
"ALTER SYSTEM RESET ENCRYPTION KEY" doesn't seem to work.

Any idea?
Thanks,
Vincent

Actually you can't remove the entry from - v$encryption_wallet

Just recreate the wallet and set a new encryption key.

Oracle can only use one wallet at a time and v$encryption_wallet specify the location of the wallet nothing else.
