It has been suggested (here) that "-burleson" is even more important than using "oracle" when googling for Oracle-related information. Occasionally, I see similar notes on other sites.

So what's wrong with Burleson? Why him? There are many worse Oracle sites/blogs/whatever than his, but noone mentions these (or, at least, I didn't notice that).

Mr Burleson and some of his friends got into a few protracted discussions/arguments with Tom Kyte a while back about the importance of evidence for performance tuning.

Unsurprisingly Tom won.

Go to asktom and stick Burleson in the search field if you want to take a look.

The site posts too much "silver bullets" without any deep or correct explaination.
It is so bad that someone creates a search engine that excludes his site: "Oracle Safe Search" Wink

Well, it was quite a lot of reading (the AskTom thread itself, along with certain links), but I believe I got a picture.

Also, now I know another meaning of the BBB abbreviation: in Croatia, it is the name of one of our football team's fan group: Bad Blue Boys.
Newly learnt one is Banned By Burleson Smile

I love those days ( BB Vs TK, w.r.to technical conversations only).
Needless to say, BB is still the star entertainer among Oracle groupies.
What I really miss is the good old days at C.D.O.S with all the
healthy, heated and very opinionated conversations with atomic details on Oracle.
