Hi,
i used the following query to select the data from a column with xmltype. I want to increase the performance by reducing the execution time (It takes 1 min). Can you help me?

select e.eventid, x.Empno, x.EName,x.Designation, x.DOJ, x.Salary, x.H, x.Street, x.City, x.State,
x.Country, x.Phno, x.Email ,x.Deptno, x.BranchID
from Employee_New e, xmltable('for $i in $EmpDetails
return $i/Employees/Emp'
passing e.EmpDetails as "EmpDetails"
columns Empno NUMBER path '/Emp/Empno'
,EName varchar2(45) path '/Emp/Ename'
,Designation VARCHAR2(25) path '/Emp/Designation'
,DOJ VARCHAR2(Cool path '/Emp/DOJ'
,Salary NUMBER path '/Emp/Salary'
,H VARCHAR2(25) path '/Emp/Address/H.NO'
,Street varchar2(25) path '/Emp/Address/Street'
,City varchar2(25) path '/Emp/Address/City'
,State varchar2(25) path '/Emp/Address/State'
,Country varchar2(25) path '/Emp/Address/Country'
,Phno varchar2(25) path '/Emp/Address/Phno'
,Email varchar2(25) path '/Emp/Address/Email'
,BranchID VARCHAR2(2) path '/Emp/BranchID'
,Deptno NUMBER path '/Emp/Deptno'
) x where deptno = 10 and branchid = 'M1';

You created 6 topics: 2 "XMLTYPE in Oracle", 1 "Oracle_XMLTYPE", and 3 "Oracle_XML", I bet the next one will be... "XMLTYPE in Oracle". Don't you anything more useful?

You posted them in SQL & PL/SQL forum when there is a "JDeveloper, Java & XML" one. Note the "XML" in the title.

You never feedback to the answers we gave you.

You didn't follow (and read?) when you have been asked many times. For instance:
