The XMLTYPE column having empno, ename, designation, DOJ, address (HNO,Street,City,State, Country) as columns/nodes and deptno, branchID as ordinary columns. I want to insert the employees with diff designations and salaries as per.
Can you tell me the way to complete my work fast.

Post a working Test case: create table and insert statements along with the result you want with these data.
Don't forget to format your data (see OraFAQ Forum Guide).
Also always post your Oracle version (4 decimals).

Are you asking how to generate XML out of Oracle, or how to optimise your query?

If it's the first, then you can use DBMS_XMLGEN or to produce XML from queries, or functions like XMLELEMENT
to generate XML columns in your SQL.
