Hello,

Is it possible to allocate an extra channel to an already running RMAN backup? If yes please let me know how.

I have gone through RMAN documentation and did several googling but can't locate how to allocate an extra channel to an already running RMAN backup.

I have a backup that is very slow because I allocated just one channel instead of the usual 3 channel I have used in the past.

The backup have been running since morning and I will like to speed things up. I want to beleive this is possible.
