What are the different ways of migrating data from one system/machine to another ?

I know of 2 methods :
1) offline cold-backup
2) export/import

Any other way ?

I think RMAN can also be used ?

There are many methods that can employed depending
on version, os, data volume and need.
And yes, RMAN can be used too.

That is just duplication/restore.
With respect to oracle, this is how it is been defined.
Quote:
Database migration refers to the collection of processes and procedures for converting the data in an Oracle database to reflect a particular release of the Oracle database server.
In some cases, migration may describe the process of moving data from a non-Oracle database into an Oracle database.

In some cases, it is moving Oracle database across the OS to another server.
