Hi,
Here i have query when i execute the query i getting

NO Row Selected.

Select * from PoMain
           Where PurOrderNo   = '81040487'
             and PurOrderDt   = '23-MAR-2009'
             and UNitid       = 1
             and VendCode     = 'A0384'
             and Nvl(EffectiveDt,Purorderdt)  <= '13-MAR-2009';


The same when i execute the query with max clause ia m getting null row output.
Select Max(Amendmentno) from PoMain
           Where PurOrderNo   = '81040487'
             and PurOrderDt   = '23-MAR-2009'
             and UNitid       = 1
             and VendCode     = 'A0384'
             and Nvl(EffectiveDt,Purorderdt)  <= '13-MAR-2009';


what is the issue.

There is no issue it is the expected behaviour.

By the way, '13-MAR-2009' is NOT a date but a string.
