2 node RAC setup

Currently both instances are running,I want to restart node 1 server for activity but database should not be down,,,(second instance should be running)

please guide if the foll sequence will achieve the same

1.shutdown transactional on node 1
2.shutdown ASM on node 1
3.srvctl stop nodeapps -n node1

restart node 1 server

1.srvctl start nodeapps -n node1
2.start ASM
3.start instance

Provided your nodeapps and failover configured properly,
above sequences should get your database where you wanted it to be.

The steps should not affect your database. It only will affect services on the node which you have brought down (ie. asm, instance on node1, and the nodeapps)

You can directly shutdown your node. it'll not effect your database. B'Coz when you shutdown your first node, second node will autometically handle database.
