I have an up-coming 10gR2 RAC install on RHEL5 64 bit. I thought I would prepare and look over the white paper, which lead to spending half the day searching google, Oracle, and metalink. I still have yet to find any sort of official install white paper for Oracle 10gR2 RAC. The only thing I was able to come up with was Doc ID: 414163.1 which deals with install issues for 10gR2 on RHEL5. It looks like R1 has some nice documentation. Can I assume that everything is the same from R1 to R2?

What is wrong with the official documentation for R2?
For linux specific installations, Puschitz Werner might have some additional tips.

I doubt anything is wrong with the official documentation for R2, the problem is my lack of ability to find this document.

That link is Document Library for 10gR1 which under Installation Guides has..."Real Application Clusters Installation and Configuration for Linux x86-64" along with a generic guide for "All Platforms".

http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/homepage
That is the Document Library for 10GR2 which has nothing about RAC installations on any platform.

I plan on installing 10.2 and thought it would be strange to follow a guide for 10.1.

As I am a huge fan of Puschitz's material, I was hoping for an official document from Oracle. As a side note, his RAC install doc is also based on R1.

If you had actually read & followed Posting Guidelines, you would have found the document yourself.
