We found when the memory of PGA is more than 2.7GB,our pl/sql application catches the exception:ORA-06500.
Some one said it was limited by OS,we have solaris 9 and UBuntu 8.10.
Can we adjust it????

Our physical memory is 4GB,
Our pl/sql application doesn't need large SGA,we have tested it.
How can I adjust my PGA?

ORA-06500: PL/SQL: storage error
*Cause: PL/SQL was unable to allocate additional storage. This message
normally appears with an ORA-4030 or ORA-4031 error which gives
additional information. Sometimes this error can be caused by
         runaway programs.
*Action: 1) Ensure there are no issues or bugs in your PL/SQL program which
are causing excessive amounts of memory to be used.
          2) Programmatically cause unused objects to be freed (e.g. by
             setting them to NULL).
          3) Increase the amount of shared or process memory (as appropriate)
             available to you.

You need to help us by following the Posting Guidelines as stated below.
http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

The Posting Guidelines state you should use GOOGLE before posting
Results 1 - 10 of about 5,730 for adjust the maximum memory of PGA.

Are you claiming that none of the 5000+ responses give you any clue?

What Oracle version to 4 decimal places?

Why do you think the PGA needs to be set to maximum value?
