Hi All,

I am having some trouble in starting up the listener on my windows server.

When I installed the 10g R1 on the server, it exited with some warnings.
I feel this has some thing to do with IIS services not being installed on the server. Please let me know of there is any connection between the IIS / .net services not running and the listener not coming up.

I mean, when I installed the same thing on my laptop, everthing seems to be fine.
On my server even the service 'OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener' is not visible in the list of services (services.msc)

TIA.
KV

If you just execute "lsnrctl start" the service is created.

We'll wait for actual error as "it did not work." does not help much.

Having listener running is NOT required to run Oracle RDBMS.
