Hi All,

I am Venkat. I am new to this Technology.
Could you please let me know the steps how to import mainframe files in Oracle warehouse builder.
Kindly reply.

Environment: Oracle 10.2

Im not sure if its possible to create a direct link from owb to mainframe.

But we can do the following.

1) Find a way to convert the mainframe data files into fixed length file. Its possible using cobol or any mainframe language

2) Move the data file to your server where owb is installed in ascii format

3) Use these text files as source to owb.

Last time, we used a tool called infomover to accomplish step2
