Hi, I downloaded a php script. I've installed many in the past, but this is the first one that is asking me to dump a sql (looks like a text file) into my database.

Step 1. Dump sql/2CHECKOUT - VIP into your database.

How do I do that? I went into plesk and I see how to make a database, and I see that there is an ssh terminal, but I have no clue how to dump this file into my database. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
B

You need to help us by following the Posting Guidelines as stated below.

We'd like to help, but you have posted NOTHING that indicates that Oracle is involved.

What Operating System name & version?
What Oracle version to 4 decimal places?

Can you post the contents here so we can see what you see.

I might have posted in the wrong area. Not sure if it's oracle actually. It's a php script. I just saw SQL as the forum name and figured this was the right spot.

Basically this is the install instructions...

1. Dump sql/2CHECKOUT - VIP into your database.
2. Change the DB configuration information in conf/conf.inc.php.
3. Upload all files to a folder on your website (tickets/, events/...).
4. Login using the admin username and password that you configured in the configuration file. (folder/admin/)
5. THAT'S IT! ENJOY!

I get steps 2-4, not 1.

Should I be posting this elsewhere? Thanks!

I believe you figured incorrectly.
SQL is a language that is understood by any number of RDBMS.
I suspect that the database involved is MYSQL; but that is only a guess.
Good Luck in solving this mystery.
