Hi,

I am trying to install Oracle forms 6i on my local machin on windows xp. While installing I am getting the error

"Stop Oracle applications. Some Oracle products are currently in use. Please stop all Windosw NT services and quit applications that are using Oracle's products before proceeding with this install.
Press OK to continue the installation once the services and applications have been stopped, or press Cancel to abort the installation."

Although I had already stoped all my oracle services and no oracle opplication is running while installation.

Appreciate your help.

Regards
Harshad

What other Oracle products do you have installed on your PC?

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply.
I have installed Oracle database 9i & Oracle 10g XE on my pc.
Meanwhile I resolved my D2K 6i installation issue as :-

( I got these steps on one of the links after googleing)

1. Rename oci.dll, xa80.dll and sqllib80.dll in Oracle Home to something else. In this way, mtxoci.dll won't find them.

2. Reboot machine.

3. Install Forms 6i.

4. Rename oci.dll, xa80.dll and sqllib80.dll in Oracle Home to something else, again.

5. Reboot again.

6. Install Reports 6i.

Now it has successfully installed & working too.

Regards
Harshad

When given the option always install Reports BEFORE Forms as the install scripts for Forms are 'cleaner'.
