I wish to query a DB2 table from within PLSQL. Is there any mechanism whereby I can do such a SELECT as we do between different Oracle databases? Is there ant work around for this? Because I need to use the DB2 data to do further queries in Oracle.

There is a product from Oracle called the Transparent Gateway that will allow your Oracle server to interact in real-time with a DB2 database.
