DEAR ALL
I HAVE ORACLE10G DATABASE
AND 6I FORM BUILDER UNDER VISTA
I HAVE A WELL COM FORM PLAY SOUND WHEN IT OPPEND
THE PROBLEM IS THE VOLUME WHEN IT OPEN IS 0
SO ANY THING TO CONTROL THE VOLUME IN THE TRIGGER
THE TRRIGER IS

GO_ITEM('WELL.O');
READ_SOUND_FILE(B0||'DD.wav','WAV','WELL.O');
PLAY_SOUND('WELL.O');
END IF;
BY THE WAY IT WAS WORKING WELL UNDER XP

By the way, Forms 6i was never (and probably will never be) certified with MS Windows Vista. The fact that you managed to install it and run a form doesn't mean that it will successfully work in all its aspects. I'm afraid that you're on your own (as Oracle doesn't provide support for not-certified combinations of its software and operating system customers may use).

Though, you might want to wait a little bit longer; perhaps someone will know how to help you. Unfortunately, I do not.
