dear all,

can somebody please tell me what normally the solutions are for ORA-06521:PL/SQL Error mapping function? I tried to call an external procedure. I have added necessary lines for tnsnames.ora and listener.ora (both have the same key and SID_name for extproc). I have also made sure that the external name to call the function is in double quote (to preserve the case), but still to no avail.

I wrote my external procedure using VisualC++. It's a very simple procedure (i.e. multiplication between 2 numbers). I use Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000 Server.
Please help me.

Regards,
Anastasia

This link might be helpful (recommends compiling in C instead of C++ due to name mangling):

After compiling in C instead of C++, my external procedure works like charm. Thank a lot.
