I have forms designer 4.5 compiled in oracle 10.0.2 (32bits) , and runs without problems, but when I open the same object with forms designer 4.5 (32bits) with oracle 10.0.2 (64bits) , the tool does not recognize any objects stored in the database (functions. procedures, etc).

I want to know what changes needs in the database or in the tools to make it compatible

thanks

Please confirm your first statement "I have forms designer 4.5 compiled in oracle 10.0.2 (32bits) , and runs without problems".

It is my understanding that the 32-bit forms environment CAN NOT communicate with the 64-bit database environment. Also, that because of the change of 'rowid' structure, forms 4.5 can not communicate with Oracle database 9 or higher.

Most people just move to a 64-bit forms environment (that is, Forms 6.0).

The only other alternative I can think of is to use a DBLINK from the 32-bit database to the 64-bit database. I have heard that it is possible to connect Forms 4.5 to an Oracle 8 database which connects to an Oracle 9 database which in turn is connected to an Oracle 10 or 11 database.
