Dear sir,

when we issue
RMAN>report obsolete;.......
it is properly listing backup sets which are obsolete.

but when we issue DELETE OBSOLETE, we are getting below error at the bottom of the output


RMAN> delete obsolete;

You need to have at least one configured or allocated disk device type.

Dear Sir,

I am giving the following command for allocating the channle in maintenance , but still getting the same error.

allocate channel for maintenance device type disk;
delete obsolete;
