Did I? Where? As far as I can recall, timer was suggested in another situation, not here.

Store an encrypted value in a table in the database. This value would be the installation date. In the 'When-New-Form-Instance' trigger compare the unencrypted value with the sysdate to determine the number of days the application has been used.

I do realise that someone may try installing the application at a future date and then resetting the date, but as the Oracle Database does not like 'running in the past' you should not have to worry about this situation in a 'real' customer.

Hi Shazaib,
Hope u resolved the problem. Davids Solution is good but i dont think it was a Timer issue . Please let me know if you done with that now. I had allready developed one Mailer Schedular also on the same theme u are saying means when it strikes some Time like 12:00 HRS or some date Schedular will run the Form instance or report instance. I did it by Window Schedular where i put the batch File to run the FMX which fires Report and mail to the User on Specified time.

Ok See. I am sosidering like u have allready that Form which have the functionality for Firing the task. Now its gonna give you that Moment. Theres no role of FMB. What here we are doing is we are calling an FMX from a batch file which will be triggered by a Shedular. Create a BAT File.
1.Open Notepad
2.Write
ifrun60 Module=D:\Your Folder\Your Form.fmx userid=Your UserId/YourPasword@YourHost RENDER='NO'
For Example
ifrun60 MODULE=C:\SA_FRM810.FMX userid=DAMMAM/DAMMAM@DEVSRVR RENDER='NO'
3.Save as "YourFileName.BAT"(Avoid Start & AUTOEXE)
4.Open Scheduler Windows

C:\ST.JPG

5. Paste your Batch File in Schedular in Schedule Task(Oracle Form Excecutable to Execute your task)
6.Place Date & Time for Execution.
7.Enjoy.

Javed
