I am trying to connect my Visual Age for Java to Oracle 8i personal edition 8.1.7.0 on my home computer using JDBC. I cannont seem to get the java to see the driver I keep throwing a ClassNotFoundException.

My Visual age has JDK 1.2 and I am running the whole thing on Windows 2000 Pro. The Oracle Driver is on directory c:oracleora81jdbclibclasses12.zip. I have set my CLASSPATH variable to Oracle_Homejdbclibclasses12.zip and I have set the PATH variable to Oracle_Homelib. My java program has the driver registration Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");

If someone can find a solution to the problem I will be it would be greatly appreciated as I have been working on this in my spare time for about a week.
