Hello,

I have installed Oracle Client (10g) in Sun Solaris 10,

The installation was successfull.

But after installation, If i try for Oracle Home

cd $ORACLE_HOME -- Its saying that dir cant found. But I am finding the location in the server.

any suggestions what may be the issue.

Does $ORACLE_HOME point to the directory where you've installed the software? Do the following to verify:

$ echo $ORACLE_HOME


If not, see how to change it at ORACLE_HOME.

Thanks for the reply.

After I did the same its pointing to the correct directory.

% setenv ORACLE_BASE /oracle/app
% setenv ORACLE_HOME /oracle/app/product/10.2.0

But again If I open another new session, Its not pointing the same.

I am getting the same error.

Add it to your .login file:

% vi .login
% source ./.login
