Hi all,

I have an issue regarding the following
I have build a oracleserver(dev1) in one system
next I have build another oracle server(Dev2) on other machine
I have to build a server which host two applications in which one application points to dev1 and other points to dev2. In this server i have installed oracle with orcl name.
So i have made modifications in the TNSnames.ora file with ip address of dev1 and dev2.
When i try to connect dev1 in my server which has applications i get an error msg unable to connect but when i connect dev2 i am able to connect.can't troubleshoot it.

Thanks in advance.

Try to do tnsping to the dev2 from the server ( where ORCL DB is installed).

Make sure that TNS Listener of Dev2 is started.
