Does anyone know if you can call a cobol or any other language prgm from within pl/sql script, package or block. Thanks in advance for your time.

Yes you can some languages from pl/sql by using
external procedures. I think you can call cobol and
c from pl/sql. Search on external procedures on
MetaLink for more info.
