I currently connect to an SQL database with ODBC using a named pipe connection. I am trying to change my connections to use TCP/IP. When changing about 200 Windows 95 systems, I have about 12 that will not connect. After changing the connection type and clicking next to get to the next configuration screen, The system times out after about 20 seconds and returns a message that the connection failed. The systems have the same version driver and client. The problem systems are located in different areas so I don't think it's a router filtering problem. I am able to ping the application server and the winipcfg information is corret. Has anybody seen this or have other ideas on what to check or how to further troubleshoot?
