I am trying to create a snapshot in Oracle 8 database. The master table is an object in Oracle 7 database.
The master table has 70 columns.
But when I try to create the snapshot it gives me an error:
ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column

But I am able to create the Snapshot if I select only 30 out of the 70 columns.
Is there any limit on the number of columns that a snapshot can have when it is snapshot from an Oracle 7 table?
The character sets of the databases are different. But I do not see any data conversion problems.

So what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Deepak
