I have an 'old' data base witch can be read with the DataFlex ODBC driver (for instance into Access). Witch tool of Oracle 8 can read this ODBC data to load it into my created Oracle structure? I read something about the SQL* Loader but it seems to me that this tool can only work with ASCII files?!

Thanks in advance.

Try creating an ASCII text file from your OLD database. Then use SQL*LOADER to load this into ORACLE database.

There is an Access Tool to Convert Access tables to Oracle tables. It requires no effort at all.

I can't remember the name of it right now, but it is much easier than dealing with the oracle loader. Check for a download at microsoft.com
