Hi,

I have problem with Toad for Oracle (freeware version)
I'm using Toad to get data from database which contains English and Korean words.

Problem is that Toad does not view data in Korean correctly.
Is look like this:

./fa/5428/0/

But when I use PLSQL Developer everything is OK.

Does anybody know why?

My NLS_LANG is: KOREAN_KOREA.KO16MSWIN949
a tried also:

AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8

but the result is the same.
Toad does not work properly.

Regards,
Nhan

I must be quite lucky for using Latin alphabet - note that this is just an excuse for not knowing how to help you. However: if you open TOAD's Help system and search for "NLS", you'll find the "NLS Parameters" topic. Maybe, just maybe it could help you fix the problem, but - it is available only in TOAD commercial version, so ...

By the way, did you visit TOAD Forum? Perhaps you'd be able to get the answer there.

As I mentioned before, PLSQL Developer view data correctly, I checked also using Oracle SQL Developer and also works properly.
So, something must be wrong with Toad :/

I did not change any setting in PLSQL Developer or Oracle SQL Developer - just installed and turn it on Smile
