Hi,
I have one doubt regarding operating system. In my previous projects, the application server and oracle db server are running in the same operating system in Linux machine. In first time, the application server is running in Solaris operating system and the Oracle db server running in Linux operating system.
Let me know what is the advantage and disadvantage for it?

Thanks,
Michael

I think the only disadvantage is that the organsiation needs to have someone who understands two operating systems instead of one.
