I m new to oracle 10g & I m using oracle 10g database on windows xp platform I w ant to know is there any way so that I can take automatic backup of the database in .dmp file or in another way so tht if my database get corrupted and later I can restore it again .I want to know is there any method by which I can take automatic backup while I work & update my database.

export is NOT a backup method, use RMAN.
