What is the output of show all and can you post your backup script ?

Do you happen to have a log of the backups that you conducted during this time ?

Ebrian,

Thanks for reply. here is the show all content.
i did not see any log file for this. i believe some one ran this script instead of our shell script.

is there any possibility to track it. or at least log file.

my question is there any reason to backup failures after backup on the disk?
could you please clarify me?

is there any possibility to get log file based on tag?

using target database control file instead of recovery catalog
RMAN configuration parameters are:
CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO REDUNDANCY 1; # default
CONFIGURE BACKUP OPTIMIZATION OFF; # default
CONFIGURE DEFAULT DEVICE TYPE TO DISK; # default
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP OFF; # default
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO '%F'; # default
CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE DISK PARALLELISM 1 BACKUP TYPE TO BACKUPSET; # default
CONFIGURE DATAFILE BACKUP COPIES FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO 1; # default
CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG BACKUP COPIES FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO 1; # default
CONFIGURE MAXSETSIZE TO UNLIMITED; # default
CONFIGURE ENCRYPTION FOR DATABASE OFF; # default
CONFIGURE ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM 'AES128'; # default
CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO NONE; # default
CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/opt/mis/oracle/product/10.2.0.2/dbs/snapcf_UMGPRD2.f'; # default

I'm still not sure what you mean by this ?

You can backup to disk and sbt if the channels are being allocated manually, which seems to be the case since nothing appears to be configured with your show all output.

For logging information, you may want to check V$RMAN_BACKUP_JOB_DETAILS.

my question is

in the past we are taking backup on tape.
on 24th the backup was ran on the disk. from there onwards
backup on tape are failing.

so what i am thinking is if we change the media from tape to disk
and disk to tape, will it cause any problem.
