i want to know advantages of bfile.

when we have to use bfile.

is b file stores only path(locator) of image/document . is it stores the image also?

if it stores the only path then instead of b file data type we can use normal varchar also to store the path(locator) of document.what is the adv of bfile type

ora.gif, image001.jpeg are the image names .these are stored in the location D:\oracle\Bfiles

create directory BFILE_FILES as ‘D:\oracle\Bfiles';

i want to insert the 2 images into table using blob
how to create the table and how to insert and how to test that image is inserted or not
