Hi all,

My sql script works fine until last friday.
They same script got a serious problem while execute it even after 4 hours.
My trace file tell me there deadlock statement so this script
is blocked around one table .
May be join problem or index problem ?

any help welcome

Oracle generates a trace file for the deadlock, it describes the condition where this one appears, have a look at it.

Are you really really really sure it is a deadlock?
Deadlocks tend to get "resolved" immediately, they don't last for four hours..

in the Trace file in udump directory I get message:

at the top of this file

" ****DEADLOCK DETECTED
Current SQL statement for this session:

insert into BCE.BCE_EXTRACTION_AUTRE_ZONE
select
l.NUMERO_UAI **** "


( it's a simple script about select and insert)

at the end of udump file I also get message below:

" DUMP FILE SIZE IS LIMITED TO 52428800 BYTES"

May be the trace file did not reach to the end .
