Position of item places it off of canvas.

Quite obvious, isn't it?

For example:
- canvas' size is 10 x 6 (X x Y)
- item length is 2
- item position is X = 9, Y = 1 --> it means that one half of an item is on the canvas, while the other half is out of the canvas.

So, either move this item onto the canvas, or enlarge canvas' size.

Don't you think that this is far too small?

Well, perhaps you shouldn't do that job blindly, but use your eyes from time to time.

How can you set canvas properties (width and height) and "draw" items on it if you DON'T SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING?!?

Its the existing form in production but of version 6i we picked those forms and started migrating it to 10g,while compiling the form in 10g Ds we got that error. So moving forward by changing the canvas properties like adjusting the width and height in such a way that the particular item fits in to the canvas will have any impact during run time as we are modifying the GUI of the form itself, why not this is occuring in 6i.Will the properties get changed while migrating to any higher version like to 10g.I meant blindly because we choosed the max and affordable width based on the item length and other item properites like its x and y co-ordinates. Huh, right; migration.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know to answer how and why; someone else might, though (David, for example, as he is experienced in such actions).

However, saying that

we chose the max and affordable width
and setting this "max and affordable" value to 0.001 is a little bit contradictory. Unless you are an ant and "0.001" is ... well, satisfying size.
