hi everyone

i need to know what is the maximum number of database items in a database data block (in oracle forms builder 6.0). The datasource of this datablock is a table that contains more than 100 columns, and we need to create about 100 items in the same datablock. I know that the maximum columns in an oracle table is 999 columns, but any of you know if what we want to do is possible?

thanks in advance

I have never tried to do that, but - I believe that if you are capable of viewing 100 items on the screen, Forms will certainly be capable of handling such a design.

Absolutely no idea.

Create a test form, use the block wizard, select ALL columns, compile, generate, and run the form, and see what happens.

I would be interested to know the result.

Can it handle ALL the columns from your 999 column table?

No need to do that (so far) - there is
