We are now using window 2003 Oracle 10g RAC and would like to install the Mcafee Antivirus Software. Anyone have these experience ? We are planning to exclude the datafile, control file, archivelogs, rman backup. Other than that, should we also exclude the whole oracle system directory ? Thanks in advance.

You should NOT be running any anti-virus s/w on DB server.

Why in the world are you delivering email messages to this box?

This system should be isolated & firewalled off from the outside world & therefore protected from virus, malware & hacking.
