Hi All,

I am new to the datawarehousing. I am using OWB R2 & would like to know how we can import the Flat files the repository created. i would like all import the flies in the database.

And how the schema would be created for that files.

I had worked on 9i , in that we use to import through sqlloader.

Thanks
Neeraj

Hi

You need to go to the Files field in OWB target module. There you need to right click and select the option import.

Before that you need to create a file location also

While importing give the flat file name and do the sampling. In each step what to do is clearly explained in the interface.

After importing use a mapping to load to a table. It is in sql loader mode(default) if the mapping has a flat file

Otherwise there is external table option also.....

John
