Backup & Archivelog Location [message #341758]

I would like to know how can i specify a remote location for backup and archiving destinations.

When i enter a remote location in Backup settings and perform test disk backup it throws an error but when i specify local drives it doesnt throw any error.

Can anyone help me on this?

you can use http://tahiti.oracle.com reference.

which error message your getting can you show us?

hi,
can you database server ping the remote location server.

what server/OS is you remote point located?

from sql are you able to create a tablespace/datafile in the remote location?
