did you start the OC4J instance?

did you point the forms to the database home (copy tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora, listener.ora - only if both are installed on the same machine)

if the answer to any of the above is no then search for it..

both the homes (developer suite and database) have these three files (search from the OS).

Replace the files of the developer home with those of the database home so the developer will connect to the database when you enter username and password.

After doing this when you have created a form before running it (Ctlr+R) start the OC4J instance 10_suite->forms->start OC4J instance and things should work fine..

so your datebase is local. you need to chech the tnsnames.ora and listiner.ora from database, you should know the home of yr database. go there, under folder admin you will find the both files of *.ora. just make sure the ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_GLOBAL.

Then, go to your application which is Oracle Developer Suite - oracle_home . you must check the tnsname.ora

good luck

Consider using the environment variable 'tns_admin' to point to one copy of 'tnsnames.ora'. This will save you having to maintain each copy separately.
