Anybody has useful knowledge about the Pack decimal stuff. I have requirement to send data to mainframe from oracle. and all numeric values has to be pack decimal.
I have never done this stuffs before, i am also using google to search for some help. I appreciate if somebody can provide me any useful link or knowledge about this nightmare for me (Pack decimal).

Packed Decimal is a flash from my past.
I was doing Cobol programming (with packed decimal values) 30 years ago on an IBM mainframe.

I suspect you could put Perl to good use to produce desired results.

Oracle 9.2.0.2 and Windows Professional 2002

Can create a output file for the Mainframe using spool process of sqlplus.Some suggestion from your old memories would be appreciated..

I suspect not; 'cuz AFAIK sqplus does not speak Packed Decimal.
Perhaps using UTL_FILE, but no promises.
Others are free to prove me wrong.
