I would like ask one thing in one scenario.

My database is in archivelog mode.
Hot backup is going on 50% tablespaces are under backup mode.
What happens if someone executes SHUTDOWN ABORT.
How much % of data loss will occurs?
Or what will be impact on the database.

Thanks,

None. You just have to back the backup mode to off.

How it is done and does it applies for hot backup or cold backup as well or only when you perform shutdown abort?

Srini

If you use RMAN, and I advise you to do it, you have to take care about this option.
If you want to know more, refer to the documentation.

Why to ask, why not try, see and learn on a test db ?

Simple answer is if you gets some data loss, then answer is Yes, there is N% data loss, else 0%.
