Hi,

Presently to login one of the schema I am using
User: XXX
Password:YYY
Connect string: QQQ

So,here my question
can we say Connect string as a Database name?
in this case My database Name is QQQ?
I am little confused about this.
Please clarify...

No, you can't say that, connect string is the alias you defined in tnsnames.ora

SQL>     select Name from v$database;

NAME
---------
T1LTCENT

That Means I can say T1LTCENT is my database name.Right?

Yes but it is NOT your connect string unless you call it the same in your tnsnames.ora.

Yes,In my tnsnames.ora file i am calling by using the same name.i.e., T1LTCENT
