Hi,

I have a table that stores 10000 records per year.
my doubt, can we apply lock on that rows which should not
be modified in the future.

Of course my very, very, very sick mind just had the crazy idea to perhaps add an on update or delete trigger to the table that raises an user defined exception when someone tries to update/delete rows that satisfy some specific criteria. Very Happy

If you can identify which rows are not to be modified, then you can use a BEFORE INSERT trigger to prevent modification to those rows.
