I think this parameter to make sure oracle to switch a log every n seconds.
Does oracle have a parameter to set time delay to sending archived log to standby database ?

I need this to make minimum time limit archived log transport.

Oracle send it as soon as possible unless you defined a delay.

The use of standby redo log file applies changes (near?) real time.

Ok ...thanks all for your help.

i make a delay in applying log in standby using DELAY='n minutes' in parameter.
