I followed a previous calender thread and I was able to attach my calender to my item,but the selected date is not displayed on the item.
I can manually type it out and it gets stored.But the date i am selecting from the calender is not chosen and displayed on the item.
As a matter of fact if i try and manually type in one date and try and select another one from teh calender it erases the pevious one that i had manually chosen as well.

OK. I hope you are feeling better now, once you shared your frustration with us.

I was just kidding - but only partially. Although you have described what happens, it is mostly useless.

You have followed a "previous calendar thread"? If you say so. Which one? How is anyone supposed to know what you read and what you did? There are dozens of similar threads! Which one of them do you call a "previous"?

Then you have described what happens when you select or type date values, but - where's the code behind that actions? Any triggers, perhaps? If so, which ones? What do they do? (code is mostly more useful than lyric description)

Finally, there've been several threads with attached working forms. If you have some extra time, do additional search and you'll, hopefully, find them. Compare this "working" solution(s) with yours and see what makes the difference.

well,most of the time people get reprimanded for repeating the queries,I just wanted to let you know I did do homework and didnt get what i wanted. =)

There is no code attached except KEY-LISTVAL where we put calendar.show;
the calender is popping but its not accepting that value!are we suppose to do anything extra beyond Adding the trigger and making the LOV-enable_list_lamp

List of Values will return a value into an item if column mapping is properly set. Did you check LoV's column mapping property?

Its a non database item,so there is no mapping involved.And the mapping you showed can be done for custom lov only,i think??

I have tried to attach a calender to a text item in a Non database block.The calender is displayed successfully when clicked but when the date is chosen it does not populate the item field.I have set

List of Values : Enable_list_lamp
Validate frmo list :No
and KEY-LISTVAL trigger with calendar.show;

Any suggetions of what can be done.

There was a WHEN NEW BLOCK INSTANCE that made it go NULL,even though it was in query mode according to diagonistics

Hey adchax, once upon a time did you live in Doha by any chance? Sorry, for asking this in a public forum but you don't accept PM or email from this site.
