Slow querie with union all [message #338196] Mon, 04 August 2008 03:20 Go to next message

i have an view which contains 2 select statements an they are concatenated using union all.
create or replace view v123 as
select * from querie1
union all
select * from querie2

i got the strange behaviour, that when the view v123 is called in an sql statement an both subqueries are active, the performance slows down massively.
when i include only one of the subqueries, the select from the view is really fast. at this point it doesent matter if there is querie1 or querie2 active. but when both are active, then i have this poor performance.

can you give me any hints on this?

thanks in advance
