Hello
[Note:This is only Interview question.]

In oracle 10g a database is created with db_block_size=8K now we feel that some tables requires 16K.
1)Can we change db_block_size ? or
2)Can we define db_block_size in table level ?
(If yes means can i have the syntax ?)

Thans in advance

Hi,
You can't change db_block_size parameter, but can create 16k blocksize tablespace and move your table to that tablespace.

This does not add anything to my post, it is just an ad for your blog that I removed.

Links are spam if they are not an answer to the post.

Alright, if that spam the list my apologies.

But who are you to tell it doesn't add any value. I gave him a alternate way to his request.

Alternate? What is alternate to what? Is this what you would answer to the interview?
I make interviews and if you give me an answer that is outside the question you have a bad point and be lectured, and trust me I'm not the worst.

Well if you go for an interview to an experienced post and some one ask you a question like this and you say "NO" in a single word. Believe me it is very rude. Interviewer espect more than that from a qualified personnel. Right approach would be to give a solution to the problem.

Just replying Y/N to a question might work well in a campus recruit. For an experienced post, you need to give a solution.

This is wrong.
Some questions need short answer.
Some questions need long answer.
Giving long answer when short is required is as bad as the opposite.
These questions are short answer ones, if the interviewer wants more he/she will then add "can you tell me more?".

Well, he is not contradicting with me in technical aspect. He got a different view when facing interview.

If i think other person will not change his stand no matter how much you try to convince him, in that case i just keep quiet. Few people has their own way of learning things in harder way.
